I thought I knew my neighborhood so I am surprised to pull into this strange looking plaza behind a gas station. I guess another reason why kava bar hunting is useful; you travel to places you have never been. It’s late evening but it doesn’t take long to find our final destination and we are pleasantly surprised at the coziness and calmness of the place. Subtle music, a gift shop, a long bar, tables with chairs surrounded by trees and plants and decorations from the Tarzan era missing only Jane from the scenery. After finally finding the menu board and almost getting a neck cramp from reading the half vertical menu we get 3 kavas and a hemp drink. It’s pretty amazing that we could have gone for kratom, kombucha, or blue lotus but at this time who needs the energy? While waiting for our drinks we explore the rear of the bar. A cozy corner! Well this is really exciting. Looks like kava bars come with cozy corners. Some type of pacific standard. The place is like a tribal hut with a teepee right across the corner. How cute! Just behind us we discover stage and music equipment. Had we come last night perhaps we could have listened to life tribe music?
Shortly after getting comfortable we get our drinks. Yeah! Kava with oat, kava with vanilla, kava with mix cacao and strawberry. Oh and a shot of plain hemp. An undrinkable liquid weed even with the extra extra sugar. Yuck!!!
The earth tasting sweetened and unsweetened kava drinks were good. Another great place and another enjoyable night. Thank you kava!
